MSA continues its dedication to supporting Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education. MSA will award six $1,000 scholarships for the fall 2017 semester to civil or environmental engineering students attending selected universities throughout the Upper Midwest.
The scholarships will be awarded based on several factors including past academic performance, application essay, leadership experience and volunteer experience.
Applications must be submitted by March 31.
“For the third year, MSA is proud to support students who are pursuing their education in civil and environmental engineering. Six topnotch engineering students will receive scholarships for the fall semester,” said MSA President/CEO Gilbert Hantzsch. “Our firm supports STEM education from elementary school through higher education. We recognize that the demand for STEM workers will continue to increase and we want to do our part to support engineering students.”
The scholarships will be awarded to students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering at the following schools: Iowa State University; Michigan Technological University, University of Iowa, University of Minnesota-Duluth, University of Wisconsin-Madison and University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
To be eligible, applicants must be full-time students who will have junior or senior standing by the beginning of the Fall 2017 semester. Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA and can only receive the MSA scholarship once. All required documents must be turned in with a student’s application.
MSA will announce the scholarship winners in May. The scholarship will be payable in September 2017 for the Fall 2017 semester. The winner must be enrolled and taking classes. Visit our Student Center to find a scholarship application for your school.
