MSA is proud to recognize the accomplishments of Structural Engineer Julia Zehner, PE, who recently earned Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in the state of Wisconsin.
To earn a PE license, engineers must hold a four-year degree in engineering from an accredited engineering program, work under a professional engineer for at least four years, pass two intensive competency exams and earn a license from the state licensure board. PE licensure is the engineering profession’s highest standard of competence – a symbol of achievement, assurance of quality and commitment to ethical standards of practice.
Zehner joined MSA in 2019 and serves as a bridge engineer on the firm’s Mobility service line. She has over seven years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, culvert, bridge and highway design, with proficiency in WisDOT project design and project management. Julia holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Prior to joining MSA, she served as a graduate structural engineer with Jewell Associates Engineers, Inc., and an environmental engineering intern with the City of Dubuque, Iowa.
“I’m thrilled to congratulate Julia on attaining PE licensure,” commented Mike Statz, chief operating officer at MSA. “This is a significant professional milestone and I look forward to her continued contributions to the industry — and to the bridge and structural projects we complete for communities across Wisconsin.”
