The Iowa Chapter of ACEC awarded its 2018 Engineering Achievement Award to the City of Cascade for its new wastewater treatment facility.

Improvements included new screening and pumping building, headworks building with grit removal and sludge dewatering/storage, Aero-Mod activated sludge wastewater treatment process, and a UV disinfection building.

City Administrator Deanna McCusker said that she “experienced firsthand the diligent work that MSA was able to provide to produce wastewater treatment sustainability for our community.”
