Within MSA, practice informs our projects and projects inform our practice.
This reflective and ever-evolving approach to our work means that our clients receive leading-edge information about project design, funding and administration. Our specialists are involved in Communities of Practice (CoPs) related to their areas of expertise and disciplines of interest. These hubs of knowledge are just that–places and times to gather both in person or virtually to share the very latest, whether in project solutions, design trends, industry practices or inspirations. Participants in an MSA CoP meet and communicate on a regular basis to deepen this knowledge and share it with the broader network of employees.
The development of Communities of Practice was one of a number of key initiatives born from MSA’s Strategic Planning session in 2013. Since, CoPs have become our internal go-to for brainstorming, collaborative problem-solving and comprehensive answers for our clients. And, for each other. Just as MSA is stronger as a 100% employee-owned company, so are we stronger as this integrated network of companion skill sets and complementary experience. The CoP model allows us to share and easily transfer knowledge among practitioners of similar services, spread across 17 offices and home work stations of our employees in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Together, we put our minds to work for you.
