The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Wisconsin, based in Madison, announced today their selections for the 2020 Engineering Excellence Awards. MSA Professional Services, Inc. (MSA) was chosen to receive a State Finalist Award for its design and development of South Pointe Business Park in the City of Sparta, Wisconsin.

Award selection was juried by a panel of judges and announced today to coincide with National Engineers Week. Projects were selected for exemplifying the skill and creativity of the engineering discipline and demonstrating a high degree of client satisfaction through quality, cost-effective solutions.

South Pointe Business Park is a Certified in Wisconsin development-ready site, as designated by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC). The park spans 180 acres at the junction of Interstate 90 and State Highway 27 in Sparta, with available parcels ranging in size form 1½ to 80 acres. Phase I of the project commenced in 2016, with project consulting engineering and design provided by MSA. The site features an integrated city-owned and maintained stormwater management system and is currently in Phase II development, which adds street and utility accommodations for expansion including storm sewer mains, manholes, water mains, laterals, and urban street resurfacing with curb and gutter.

Winners will be formally recognized at the ACEC Wisconsin awards banquet April 17, 2020, at the American Club in Kohler, Wisconsin.
