MSA is proud to announce that five of the firm’s engineers have earned Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) credentials — a globally recognized certification from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI) which allows individuals to act as an Envision consultant and advisor to help engineering projects achieve sustainability goals.
The ISI is a Washington, D.C.-based collaboration of parties founded in 2010 by the American Public Works Association (APWA), the American Society of Civil Engineer (ASCE) and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC). The organization developed and manages Envision, a framework that encourages systemic changes in the planning, design and delivery of sustainable, resilient and equitable civil infrastructure.
To achieve ENV SP certification, an individual must complete an Envision training course and pass a comprehensive written exam, proving competency of the Envision framework organized around the topics of Quality of Life, Leadership, Resource Allocation, Natural World, and Climate and Resilience. Engineers with ENV SP credentials are trained and equipped to plan, design and deliver sustainable infrastructure projects for communities, which can earn Envision verification in one of four categories: Verified, Silver, Gold or Platinum.
MSA’s five Envision Sustainability Professionals are Daniel Borchardt, Scott Chilson, Greg Gunderson, Kevin Lord and Sheri Scott. Each ENV SP is credentialed to assist any public or private client in the United States.
