The American Council of Engineering Companies of Wisconsin (ACEC-WI) recently announced a new slate of Board of Directors to serve the organization for the 2020-2021 term. MSA Chief Operating Officer Mike Statz, PE, has been elected to a seat at the board, which is comprised of principals from member firms dedicated to advancing the prosperity and welfare of Wisconsin engineering firms.
ACEC-WI is part of the national federation of the ACEC, the oldest and largest business association of engineering companies with 52 state and regional councils—representing thousands of engineering practices across the nation. The Wisconsin chapter currently includes 168 member-firm offices and 85 independent consulting member firms, which together employ over 3,800 across the state.
Mike Statz joins the ACEC-WI board as the chief operating officer and chairman of the board of directors at MSA. His 28+-year tenure at the firm encompasses a wide variety of staff and project mentoring and management, with particular credit given to expanding the company’s transportation presence across the United States. Statz earned his B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his M.B.A. from Edgewood College. He is a licensed professional engineer in three states.
“I am honored to join the board at ACEC-Wisconsin,” commented Mike. “This is a stellar organization with an unyielding commitment to supporting both engineering projects and engineering professionals. Not only that, it is a group of people I am proud to call my colleagues. I look forward to working together to continue to promote, educate and embolden the next generation of engineers.”
The eight-member ACEC-WI board takes office on July 1, 2020, and will serve through June 30, 2021.
