MSA is proud to recognize the accomplishments of Civil Engineer Cody Lawler, PE, who recently earned Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
To earn a PE license, engineers must hold a four-year degree in engineering from an accredited engineering program, work under a professional engineer for at least four years, pass two intensive competency exams and earn a license from the state licensure board. PE licensure is the engineering profession’s highest standard of competence – a symbol of achievement, assurance of quality and commitment to ethical standards of practice.
Lawler joined MSA in 2021 with over seven years of construction experience, providing project management, estimating for heavy-highway projects and inspection services. He earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in transportation from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Iowa. Lawler works from MSA’s Dubuque office location.
“I’m excited to congratulate Cody on receiving PE licensure,” commented Mike Statz, chief operating officer at MSA. “This is a key professional milestone in the industry and I look forward to Cody’s continued contributions to the profession, and to the clients and communities he serves.”
