MSA is pleased to announce the achievement of two company planners, Morgan Shapiro and Brian Wiedenfeld, in earning American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification.

Morgan Shapiro, AICP, & Brian Wiedenfeld, AICP
AICP certification is awarded to professional planners who successfully pass the AICP Certification Exam and prove competency with the institute’s standards, theories, and tools of professional planning. It serves as the only independent verification of planners’ qualifications in the United States and is a mark of the highest standards of practice, ethics and professional conduct.
Morgan Shapiro, AICP, joined MSA in 2024 and serves as an assistant planner II in the firm’s Milwaukee location. Her expertise includes comprehensive planning, land use planning, zoning, community development, parks planning, data analysis, and community engagement. Morgan is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Master of Urban Planning program and also holds a bachelor’s degree in Geological and Earth Sciences / Geosciences and Studio Art from Lawrence University.
Brian Wiedenfeld, AICP, joined MSA in 2023 and serves as an assistant planner II in the firm’s Milwaukee office location. His experience includes comprehensive plan development, data analysis, community engagement, housing and redevelopment studies, transportation planning, and parks planning. He holds a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning and a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
