MSA announced today the hiring of Amro Sallam, AIA, NCARB, as the firm’s new digital design manager based in St. Paul, Minnesota. In this role he will lead MSA’s continued efforts in moving towards digital and model-based delivery including building information modeling (BIM) and technology solution integration for more integrated design processes.
Amro joins MSA with over 25 years of architectural, digital design, BIM, innovation leadership, and operations director experience across a variety of locations worldwide. Most recently, he served a 10-year tenure as operations director and principal architect for Architects for Society, a global nonprofit organization focused on enhancing the built environment and establishing sustainable infrastructure solutions for disadvantaged communities. He also served as director of innovation for a multinational AEC firm’s digital product development startup, Nexplore, executing digital transformation solutions for the construction industry.
Amro holds a master’s degree in architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) and a bachelor’s degree in architecture and art from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a licensed architect via the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and National Council of Architectural Registration Board (NCARB).
