MSA announced today the hiring of Eric Schmidt, PE, as a new transportation principal project manager in the firm’s St. Paul office location.
Schmidt joins MSA with over 10 years of transportation engineering and project management experience across roadway, transit and aviation industry sectors. He brings a broad set of proficiencies in working with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), MetCouncil/Metro Transit, and Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) on statewide roadway, transit and structural designs as well as on local community State Aid transportation projects. In addition to local municipality and DOT clients, Schmidt has helped manage complex projects across the United States, including roadway design at airports, light rail and bus rapid transit systems.
Eric Schmidt is a licensed professional engineer (PE) in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Massachusetts. He holds a bachelor’s degree of Science in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University and has prior professional engineering experience working at other architecture/engineering (A/E) firms in Minnesota.
