MSA announced today the hiring of Tara Walters as a community development specialist in the firm’s Quad Cities office location.
Walters joins MSA with community and regional planning experience in the Quad Cities region, formerly as a regional planner with the Blackhawk Hills Regional Council and senior planner with the Bi-State Regional Commission. Her addition to MSA’s community development and funding team in Bettendorf extends the organization’s grant and funding expertise and fortifies the firm’s dedication to helping clients in Illinois and Iowa secure local and federal project funding.
Tara Walters earned a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Iowa and a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. Her expertise includes land use development, environmental planning, geographic information systems, grant writing and grant application assistance, planning document development and program management.
