MSA Professional Services is proud to recognize the accomplishments of Abby Mouw, who recently passed her professional engineering (PE) exam. Abby joined MSA in 2014 as a municipal engineer and received her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Iowa State University. Her expertise lies in water distribution, storage, and wastewater treatment system projects.
“I’m proud to congratulate Abby on passing the PE exam,” commented Mike Statz, PE and chief operating officer at MSA. “Achieving certification is an enormous accomplishment. Abby has already contributed an immense amount to our firm and to our client partners; we look forward to supporting her on her continued path of professional development.”
To become fully licensed, engineers must earn a four-year degree in engineering from an accredited engineering program, work under a professional engineer for at least four years, pass two intensive competency exams and earn a license from the state licensure board. PEs must work to consistently maintain and improve their stills throughout their careers, and licensure is the engineering profession’s highest standard of competence. It is a symbol of achievement, assurance of quality and commitment to ethical standards of practice.
Abby is licensed in the state of Iowa and also holds a Grade 2 Water Treatment Operator’s Certification. Congratulations, Abby!
