MSA is proud to recognize the accomplishments of employee owner Justin Davis who recently earned licensure as a Designer of Engineering Systems (DES) for Plumbing in the state of Wisconsin.
To obtain a DES license, an applicant is required to have a minimum of 7 years of eligible experience in specialized engineering design work and must prove competency by passing the Designer of Engineering Systems Exam. Individuals holding a DES license may engage in the preparation of plans and specifications for projects and are authorized to consult, investigate and evaluate the plans and specifications of others.
Davis joined MSA in 2020 and serves as a designer of engineering systems on the firm’s Buildings – Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) team. He has experience with a wide variety of public and private development projects and design expertise that includes plumbing, fire protection system, waterline distribution, wastewater treatment, pump stations and sanitary sewer systems. Davis earned an associate’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology from the Milwaukee Area Technical College and is based in MSA’s Appleton, Wisconsin, office.
“I’m thrilled to congratulate Justin on attaining DES licensure,” commented Nick Wagner, senior vice president and Buildings service line lead at MSA. “This is a pivotal professional milestone and a testament to the quality of individuals and projects being delivered by our MEP team. I look forward to continuing to work with Justin and applying his talents in delivering smart, efficient solutions to our clients across the state.”
